Buy Used Macbook – What To Look For

Buy Used Mac book

At first, I imagined that buying a macbook would cost an arm and a leg.  I knew that a PC or Windows laptop would be cheaper, simply because they made so many of them.

The rep of Apple always carry weight and I did know people who swore by their macbooks and other Apple computers, but I couldn’t afford that kind of money.

That’s when the thought came to me — buy used macbook.  The thought did have a few more words on the end of it, but there’s no need to repeat them.

I’d heard about (vaguely) that there was a debate over the macbook and the macbook pro — as to which was better, or more useful.  I did realize that some of my friends went through computers almost like they were Oreo cookies.

Apples were better, I already new that.  My only considerations were about a macbook battery and how long it would last.  I also wondered about how to buy used macbook pro air, which someone told me about, or how to buy used macbook pro 15, or even the basic choice, buy used macbook pro.

My end decision to buy a refurbished macbook was the best decision I’d made all year, so let me pass along a few things I found out about the macbook, whether used or not!  The macbook does have AirPort connectivity — and this meant that it was quick to connect when we were traveling, like at an airport or coffee shop.  This is because the macbook has that spiffy Bluetooth feature.

Buy Used Macbook – Great Value

The operating system is now Leopard, and this makes user interface extremely nice and simple. I was sure glad that the buy used macbook idea had come to me when I was in the middle of my worries over the economy and budget.  What a saving it proved, both in money and in time spent worrying about my older and less reliable laptop.  I put my favorite apps on the dock at the bottom of the screen so I could access them easily and quickly.

Because the macbook is so slender, I could stick it right in my large handbag or little backpack with no problem, and it wouldn’t weigh me down.  Perhaps one slight disadvantage is that it is a little heavier than some laptops, but that really wasn’t a biggie.  I could type on it fine, and I’m a pretty bad typist.  Apples iLife came installed, and that has a lot of interesting and useful, and entertaining features.  My teenaged daughter loved to borrow it and play on the app GarageBand.

The speed of the macbook is super fast and you can also install another 1 GB if you want to.  I could see my screen really well, even though I use glasses.  Full sun does make it a bit glary, though.  A built-in camera is fun for quick photos.  A couple of things I found a little annoying (but not too much) were that you can’t use mini-DVDs in it, and that the screen size was a bit too small in the model I got.

Apple customer service is supposedly the best rated amongst any manufacturer, although I have to say that I have never had to call them.  I’m just happy puttering away on my computer and extremely happy that I thought to buy used macbook, instead of any Windows-based laptop.  Saving money, having the best electronics in the field for your purpose, working in some very cool programs, having fun and being productive with my macbook, is a great feeling.

The extra money I saved by buying used came in handy, because I took my husband out for dinner the other evening and he loved it.  I even printed up an invitation by using a portable printer I’d purchased at the same time I got my macbook.  He loved that more than anything, I think.
